Fine, We Admit It. It's Pumpkin Spice Season!!!

Fine, We Admit It. It's Pumpkin Spice Season!!!

Yes, technically it's still August.

For one more day.

But at this point, we're done pretending that matters.

Starbucks brought back the Pumpkin Spice Latte on August 25. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been going strong at Walt Disney World since August 7, and Oogie Boogie Bash is already underway at Disney California Adventure.

And if you need something a little scarier to officially declare the end of summer, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando kicked off August 28, while Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood starts September 3.

So we're calling it.

It's pumpkin spice season!!!!!!!!!

And since tomorrow is September 1, we don't feel even slightly guilty about talking about our Pumpkin Spice Crispycake anymore.

Pumpkin Spice Season Keeps Starting Earlier

Every year, there's the same debate.

Is August too early for pumpkin spice? Is it too early for Halloween decorations? Are we really ordering a pumpkin spice coffee when it's still 90 degrees outside?

Apparently, yes.

Starbucks itself basically treats the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte as the unofficial arrival of fall, and this year's August 25 launch was actually the company's biggest fall launch day ever in the U.S. and Canada.

Meanwhile, Disney and Universal are already fully committed to Halloween.

At this point, we're not rushing the season. We're just keeping up.

So Let's Talk About the Pumpkin Spice Crispycake

Our Pumpkin Spice Crispycake is our take on one of the flavors people wait all year to come back.

It starts with the thick, soft and gooey marshmallow texture of a Crispycake, then adds the warm pumpkin spice flavor that immediately tastes like fall. Underneath is a graham cracker-sprinkled crust that gives the whole thing a little pumpkin pie inspiration.

Basically, if you spend the summer counting down to pumpkin spice season, this one was made for you.

It's sweet, warmly spiced, gooey, and just different enough from a traditional rice crispy treat to feel like a full-on fall dessert.

No coffee order required.

Pumpkin Spice Isn't Just for Lattes

The Pumpkin Spice Latte may have helped turn pumpkin spice into a cultural phenomenon, but at this point the flavor has escaped the coffee cup entirely.

Pumpkin spice cookies. Pumpkin spice cereal. Pumpkin spice donuts. Pumpkin spice cakes. Pumpkin spice everything.

And we're completely fine with that.

There's a reason pumpkin spice desserts come back every fall. That combination of cinnamon and warm seasonal spices has become almost inseparable from the feeling of the season itself.

You taste it and immediately start thinking about cooler weather, Halloween, Thanksgiving, changing leaves, and all the other things that make fall feel like fall.

Even if you're currently drinking an iced PSL because it's 94 degrees outside.

Pumpkin Spice and Halloween Just Belong Together

We originally brought our Pumpkin Spice Crispycake back early because people were already asking for it.

At the time, we joked that if Costco could put out Halloween decorations in the middle of summer, we could release Pumpkin Spice.

Well, now we're past that argument.

Mickey is throwing Halloween parties in Orlando. Oogie Boogie is handing out treats in California. Universal Orlando already has people running through haunted houses. Hollywood starts doing the same this week.

Halloween season isn't coming.

Halloween season is here.

And that makes Pumpkin Spice a pretty perfect addition to our Spooky Sweets Halloween Bundle, alongside Candy Corn and our Haunted House Crispycake.

Three completely different Halloween treats, all in one very spooky box.

Welcome Back, Pumpkin Spice

There are people who roll their eyes when pumpkin spice comes back every year.

We are not those people.

We're firmly in the camp that says if Starbucks can bring back the PSL in August and theme parks can start celebrating Halloween before September, we're allowed to eat a giant Pumpkin Spice Crispycake.

Besides, we waited until August 31 to write an entire blog post about it.

That's restraint.

So grab the pumpkin decorations. Start planning the Halloween costume. Put on a scary movie. Order the PSL.

Pumpkin spice season is officially here.

And our Pumpkin Spice Crispycake is ready for it.
